Garba has settings at three levels: your account, your team, and you. Most settings live at one level only. A few can be set at more than one, and then the more specific level wins.
When a setting exists at more than one level, Garba uses the first value it finds:
your own setting
your team's setting
the account setting
Example: the account's Default Bot Recording Type is Gallery View V2. The Sales team sets Speaker View. One salesperson sets Gallery View for themselves. That salesperson's meetings are recorded in Gallery View, and the rest of Sales records in Speaker View.
Audio Only is the exception. If any colleague on the meeting who uses Garba has Audio Only, the whole meeting is audio only. See Choosing a Bot Recording Type.
Setting | Account | Team | User |
|---|---|---|---|
Default Bot Recording Type | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
Output Language | ✓ | ✓ | |
Opt-Out Email Template | ✓ | ✓ |
At team level, Account Default means the team uses the account's value. At user level, Team/Account Default means you use your team's value, or the account's if the team has none.
Output Language follows the team of the meeting's owner, not the person reading the meeting. See How to Set Output Language.
Blocked Email Domains and Blocked Keywords exist on both the account and the user settings page, and the two lists add up. An account entry keeps Garba out of matching meetings for everyone. Your own entry only takes you off them: the bot still joins if a colleague in the meeting has Garba set to join it.
Found under Account → Settings, Branding, Billing and Integrations. Only an admin can change them. They apply to everyone. Examples:
custom vocabulary
bot join time
internal domains
internal meetings default privacy
whether the opt-out email is sent
CRM connection
branding and billing
Found under Account → Teams, by editing a team. Only an admin can change them. Besides the shared settings above, a team has:
its CRM type, default pipeline and CRM activity type
which meetings and emails its members can see
its meeting types
Found under User → Settings and User → Notifications. Each user changes their own, and the change affects only them. An admin or manager can also change some of them for a user under Account → Users: AI Coach Feedback, Sync Emails to CRM, task settings, time zone and personal meeting link. Only an admin can change an admin's. Examples:
What meetings should Garba join?
Default Meeting And Email Privacy
every notification: summary emails, daily brief, pre-meeting brief, and Slack and Teams messages
AI Coach
syncing your emails to the CRM
Garba has three roles: User, Manager and Admin. See Roles in Garba.
