Downloading and Exporting Transcripts

Learn how to download or copy meeting transcripts, including translated versions.

You can download any meeting transcript as a text file, or copy it to your clipboard.

Download or copy a transcript

  1. Open Meetings and open the meeting.

  2. Click the Transcript tab.

  3. In the toolbar under the transcript, click the download icon (Export transcript). If the toolbar is narrow, these options are in the ā‹® menu.

  4. Choose Download Transcript to save a .txt file, or Copy to Clipboard.

Both keep the speaker names and timestamps. Each paragraph starts with the number of seconds into the recording and the speaker's name:

125:Anna Lindqvist: Shall we go through the pricing?

To copy only part of the transcript, select the lines and click Copy text. That copies the speaker names and text without timestamps.

Export a translated transcript

  1. On the Transcript tab, click the language button and pick a language. See Translating a meeting.

  2. Wait until the translation has finished. Download Transcript and Copy to Clipboard are greyed out until then.

  3. Download or copy as above. The file name ends with the language code.

Transcript translation is part of some plans. Without it, the language button does not appear.

Good to know

  • Anyone who can open the meeting can export its transcript.

  • A meeting whose transcript was deleted by a retention policy has no transcript to export.
