When you connect CloudTalk to Garba, Garba transcribes, summarizes and analyzes your phone calls automatically. Garba fetches each recorded call from CloudTalk. The call then appears in Garba as a meeting.
You connect CloudTalk one time for the whole account. A CloudTalk administrator creates an API key, and a Garba admin pastes it into Garba. Garba then imports the calls of each CloudTalk agent whose email matches a Garba user.
Before you start, make sure that you have:
An Admin role in Garba
Access to a CloudTalk administrator account, to create the API key
Call recording turned on in CloudTalk for the calls that must reach Garba
CloudTalk agents with the same email addresses as the related Garba users
A recording license on those Garba users
Log in to CloudTalk as an administrator. Go to Account > Settings > API keys. Add a new key.
Access Key ID — Copy this value. You need it in step 3.
API Secret — CloudTalk shows the secret one time only, when you create the key. Copy it right away. If you lose it, create a new key. You cannot look the old secret up.
Read-only access is enough. Garba only reads calls and recordings.
In Garba, click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar. In the menu, under Account, click Integrations. Scroll down to the Telephony section.

Telephony — All phone integrations are in this section of the Integrations page.
Connect — Click this button on the CloudTalk card. The Connect to CloudTalk dialog opens.
Paste the Access Key ID and the API Secret into the dialog. Click Connect. Garba checks the key pair with CloudTalk before Garba stores it.

Access Key ID — This field holds the Access Key ID from step 1.
API Secret — This field holds the API Secret from step 1.
Connect — If CloudTalk rejects the pair, Garba shows CloudTalk rejected this key pair. Make sure that you copied both values in full. If the error stays, create a new key in CloudTalk and paste the new values.
If Garba shows CloudTalk did not answer, CloudTalk was not reachable. Nothing was stored. Wait a few minutes and try again.
On the integrations page, the CloudTalk card now shows the Connected status.

Connected — Garba imports calls from now on.
Disconnect — This button removes the key. See Disconnect CloudTalk below.
Garba matches each call to a user by the email address of the CloudTalk agent. This email address must be the same address that the user has in Garba. If the email matches no Garba user, Garba keeps the call but does not create a meeting. If you correct the email address within 24 hours of the call, the call becomes a meeting on the next check.
After you connect, Garba automatically:
Imports your recorded calls from the last 24 hours
Checks CloudTalk for new recordings every 5 minutes
Creates a meeting for each recorded call. The meeting name shows the other party, for example Incoming call from +46701234567 or Outgoing call to +46701234567. If CloudTalk knows the contact, the name shows instead of the number.
Downloads the recording and transcribes it
Generates a summary, insights and action items, in the same way as for a video meeting
Looks up the phone number in your connected CRM to identify the person on the call
Garba does not import calls older than 24 hours automatically. If you need older calls in Garba, contact our support team.
A call appears in Garba some minutes after the call ends. You do not need to configure anything more on the CloudTalk side.
Garba imports a call when:
Somebody answered the call and CloudTalk recorded it
The email address of the CloudTalk agent matches a Garba user with a recording license
The call is not longer than the maximum meeting length of your plan
Garba imports incoming calls and outgoing calls. Garba skips these calls:
Voicemails — A voicemail is a message, not a conversation.
Internal calls — A call between two colleagues on your CloudTalk account.
Calls without a recording — For example when recording was paused or turned off.
CloudTalk delivers recordings with both voices in one audio track. Garba identifies the speakers from the conversation itself, and the AI can sometimes mix up who said what. Transcripts and summaries still work as normal. If a speaker label looks wrong in a transcript, you can correct it on the meeting page.
Calls do not show in Garba
Make sure that the call was answered and that CloudTalk recorded it. Check the call recording settings in CloudTalk.
Make sure that the email address of the CloudTalk agent is the same as the email address of the Garba user.
Make sure that the Garba user has a recording license.
Make sure that the call is not a voicemail or an internal call. Garba does not import these.
Make sure that the call is not longer than the maximum meeting length of your plan. Garba does not create a meeting for a longer call.
Make sure that the call is not older than 24 hours before you connected. For older calls, contact our support team.
The card shows Reconnect
The card shows There is an error with your connection. Please reconnect. CloudTalk rejected the key, and Garba stopped the import of calls. Somebody deleted the key in CloudTalk, or the key lost its access.
Create a new key as a CloudTalk administrator. Click Reconnect on the CloudTalk card and paste the new Access Key ID and API Secret. After you reconnect, Garba imports the calls from the last 24 hours. For older calls, contact our support team. If you do not want to connect again, click Disconnect.
A call shows a phone number and not a name
Garba shows the name of the contact when CloudTalk has a contact for the number, or when the number matches a contact in your connected CRM. If there is no match, Garba shows the number.
To remove the integration:
Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar. Under Account, click Integrations.
Find the CloudTalk card. Click Disconnect.
Confirm with Yes.
When you disconnect, Garba removes the key. Garba then stops the import of calls from CloudTalk. The imported calls stay in Garba, with their recordings, transcripts and summaries. You can also delete the key in CloudTalk.
If you connect again later, Garba imports the calls from the last 24 hours only.
If you have a problem, contact our support team.
